THE CALL UP (2016)
This sci-fi action movie, about virtual war-games, has a Mil Mi-24 Hind (in a digital visual effects scene) that flies by the upper floors of a building, and then turns away to cruise over the ruined city.
The helicopter gunship re-appears hovering just outside a window. Later, helicopter wreckage is found by the gamers just outside a doorway.

DEEPWATER HORIZON (2016)
Peter Berg’s suspenseful disaster movie is based on a true story.
At Bristow heli-port, we see an airborne
Bell 407 and an Agusta Westland AW-139
surrounded by several helicopters parked on concrete pads.
The morning flight has a Sikorsky S-92A carrying crew to the oil-rig. The big transport suffers a bird strike before landing safely at the off-shore location.
After the explosions, a US Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin is the first rescue flight to reach the burning platform.

Later, there are two Westland Apache gunships on patrol over another British city.
The spy chief (Gary Oldman) takes a Eurocopter AS-355 TwinStar (G-XLLL from Excel charter) flight over
London to follow a van-load of Russian agents,
and the helicopter lands in the grounds of a university.
This Twin-Star takes off again to pursue the hero who is driving a stolen ambulance to a small air-field for the final shoot-out.

This sci-fi horror begins with a montage of apocalyptic scenes that include a pair of Black Hawk gunships and two Mil Mi-24 Hind choppers in brief CGI shots of aerial combat against swarms of flying creatures.
There’s also a couple of U.N. helicopters, a Russian Mil Mi-17 Hip transport and a Bell 212 Twin Huey, in a brief stock-footage shot.

In this action movie sequel, about a team of mutant superheroes, a Sikorsky S-61N Silver is the featured helicopter. This big transport arrives at Xavier’s school just after the building has been demolished by an explosion.
Some of the kids are kidnapped, but three more teleport into the helicopter’s cargo cabin, as the bad guys fly to a secret military base, where the helicopter enters the complex through a tunnel in the mountainside.
One of the bad guys uses the same helicopter to escape in when his plans are ruined by pesky kids, and captured mutants break out of their prison cells.

THE 5th WAVE (2016)
In this sci-fi movie about an invasion by mysterious aliens, we see a fleet of school buses arriving at the military base, where a Cobra and a Huey are parked outside of a hanger, and another Huey flies overhead.
Later, a Huey flies a squad of kids into action against the bad guys, and the helicopter returns to pick up a survivor.
When a rebel saboteur’s bombs destroy the base, a pair of Black Hawk transports get airborne to evacuate the commander.
A gun-man aboard one of the Black Hawks shoots down at the young heroes who are trying to escape.

MIDNIGHT SPECIAL (2016)
This sci-fi mystery adventure is a road movie that features an FBI transport (a Eurocopter AS-350) used by agents to reach the site of a satellite crash.
Later, two A-Star helicopters appear at the road block.
A UH-60 Black Hawk joins the police and army's search for a psychic boy, and there are other Black Hawks (all CGI work) seen flying in the distance during later scenes.

CIVIL WAR (2016)
This superhero movie in the Disney & Marvel studios franchise has a few helicopter scenes.
After the bomb attack in
Vienna, there's an Agusta-Westland AW-109
medevac flight seen above the damaged U.N. building.
When a GSG 9 squad hunt down ‘Winter Soldier’ Bucky Barnes in
an AW-109 gunship delivers aerial support, while heroes are fighting on a flat
roof-top. Flying superhero Falcon kicks the helicopter’s tail boom and spins it
away from attack position.
The same gunship returns to strafe the street when fugitive Bucky tries to escape. We also see the AW-109 fly over the scene where Captain
breakout sequence, Bucky steals a German police chopper (a blue Eurocopter
AS-350) for his escape attempt.
However, in a roof-top stunt, Steve Rogers prevents this getaway flight, using his brute strength to grab the landing skid and pull the helicopter back down.
It’s a clever blending of CGI stunt work and studio props for live-action filming.
